Sanyo and Sony to cut orders for digital cameras in Taiwan

As reported by Digitimes with reference to
Japanese edition of Nihon Keizai Shimbun, as Sanyo Electric and Sony

that Taiwanese contract manufacturers will receive orders from Japanese
companies are getting smaller.

Sanyo, one of the largest digital camera OEMs, plans to
invest 26.9 billion. dollars for the construction of a plant in Vietnam. Performance
the plant will be at the initial stage about 1.2 million. digital cameras annually.
Serial production at the factory will begin, according to the newspaper, in May 2021.
Sanyo currently has 4 digital camera factories:
in Japan, South Korea, China and Indonesia, and the total output for the year
increased from 11.5 million. pieces in 2021 up to 20 million. cameras.

Sony recently commissioned its new factory in Yansu province
in China (in addition to this, the manufacturer has a factory in Shanghai); annual issue
